Bahri Logistics Orders Two Offshore Support Vessels from Grandweld Shipyard

Shipping Arabia, July 11, 2026 – Bahri Logistics has signed a newbuild agreement with Grandweld Shipyard for two advanced offshore support vessels designed to strengthen its marine logistics capabilities and support Saudi Arabia’s expanding energy sector.

The vessels will be custom-built for operations at Ras Tanura Port, a major global energy hub, and will support Bahri Logistics in providing reliable and flexible services to customers across the energy and industrial sectors.

Each vessel will be equipped with advanced navigation, communication and safety systems for operations in demanding offshore environments. Their multi-purpose capabilities will include crew transfers, emergency response, vessel clearance coordination, maintenance and technical assistance, and inspection support for vessels and offshore facilities.

The vessels will be designed to comply with applicable maritime regulations and international safety and environmental standards, supporting greater operational efficiency and service continuity across Bahri’s offshore activities.

Soror Basalom, president of Bahri Integrated Logistics, said the investment forms part of the company’s plans to expand its offshore capabilities, modernize Saudi Arabia’s logistics infrastructure and deploy vessels offering improved safety, efficiency and operational performance.

Both vessels will be constructed at Grandweld Shipyard’s facility in Dubai Maritime City, with delivery scheduled for August 2026.

The order supports Bahri’s wider fleet modernization and diversification strategy, which includes enhancing technical capabilities and adopting more energy-efficient and environmentally responsible vessel designs.

Through continued investment in fleet capacity, infrastructure and technology, Bahri Logistics aims to provide more sustainable marine logistics services while supporting Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification plans, Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.
