  • ONE to Launch Poland Egypt Express Service Linking Northern Europe and Egypt

Shipping Arabia, October 6, 2026 – Ocean Network Express (ONE) will launch a new weekly Poland Egypt Express service connecting Poland, Germany and Egypt, expanding the carrier’s coverage between the Baltic region, Northern Europe and Egypt. The new service, known as PEX, will also complement ONE’s existing Levant Express (LEX) service.

The Poland Egypt Express service will operate on a rotation covering Gdansk, Bremerhaven and Alexandria. Alexandria will be served on the southbound leg only, creating a direct southbound connection from the Baltic and Northern Europe to the Egyptian port.

ONE plans to begin the service in October 2026. The first sailing will be operated by Synergy Antwerp on voyage 642S, with the vessel scheduled to call at Gdansk between October 15 and 17.

According to ONE, the Poland Egypt Express service will provide additional capacity and greater routing flexibility across the company’s intra-Europe transport network. Together with the existing Levant Express, the new weekly loop will broaden ONE’s service offering between the Baltic, Northern Europe and Egypt.

  • CMA CGM Revises MPS Service Rotation, Keeps Alexandria on Mediterranean Route

Shipping Arabia, October 5, 2026 – CMA CGM has revised its MPS service rotation connecting Mediterranean and Southern European ports, with Alexandria remaining on the updated route. The revised rotation took effect with VENTO DI LEVANTE voyage 0XPMHW1MA, scheduled to arrive at Setúbal on October 2.

Under the new structure, the MPS service no longer makes a direct call at Leixões in Portugal. Instead, CMA CGM will maintain connections to Leixões through Setúbal using weekly feeder services.

The carrier will use its PGE and PGW services to provide the weekly feeder connections between Setúbal and Leixões. CMA CGM will also offer rail services for cargo moving to and from Leixões, giving customers an alternative inland transport option through Setúbal.

    CMA CGM MPS Service Rotation

The revised CMA CGM MPS service rotation begins and ends at Setúbal and continues through a series of ports across Southern Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa. Alexandria remains part of the service alongside calls in Greece, Lebanon, Syria and Türkiye.

    The full revised rotation is:

    Setúbal – Marseille – Genoa – La Spezia – Piraeus – Beirut – Lattakia – Mersin – Alexandria – Salerno – La Spezia – Genoa – Barcelona – Casablanca – Setúbal.

The structure therefore retains Alexandria within CMA CGM’s MPS network while changing how the service covers northern Portugal. Leixões moves from a direct MPS vessel call to connections routed through Setúbal.

Leixões Shifts to Feeder and Rail Connections

For cargo moving through Leixões, the revised arrangement replaces the direct MPS call with two alternatives through Setúbal. Weekly feeder connections will operate using CMA CGM’s PGE and PGW services, while rail transport will also be available for cargo moving to and from Leixões.

The change alters routing options for shipments moving through northern Portugal. Rather than loading or discharging directly on an MPS vessel at Leixões, cargo will connect through Setúbal by feeder or rail.

CMA CGM Targets Greater Service Regularity

CMA CGM said the MPS service rotation changes are intended to provide a more regular and reliable service. The carrier also said the revised arrangement will facilitate connections with various ports across the Mediterranean.

The updated rotation combines the revised port sequence with feeder and intermodal alternatives for Leixões, while maintaining Alexandria among the MPS service calls.
