Dubai Ports Authority Reviews Container Flows and Cargo Operations with Maritime Stakeholders
Shipping Arabia, July 15, 2026 – Dubai Ports Authority has convened shipping lines, agents, consolidators and strategic partners to review current operating conditions and identify measures to improve container flows, cargo handling and supply chain continuity across the emirate’s ports.
The high-level coordination meeting was held at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation’s headquarters at Port Rashid and chaired by Capt. Ibrahim Al Blooshi, executive director of Dubai Ports Authority.
Discussions focused on operational developments affecting maritime and logistics activity, with participants exchanging data, reviewing existing procedures and identifying priorities to support the uninterrupted movement of containers and cargo.
The meeting also examined measures to improve handling efficiency, accelerate responses to operational changes and strengthen coordination among shipping companies, agents, cargo operators and regulatory authorities.
Al Blooshi said the corporation was maintaining continuous contact with maritime and logistics stakeholders to assess operational developments and implement practical measures when required.
He said the approach was based on direct coordination, rapid response and the exchange of operational information, allowing the sector to address challenges efficiently and maintain cargo flows under changing conditions.
Participants also discussed the importance of stronger integration across the maritime supply chain to reduce potential disruption and support business continuity.
Dubai Ports Authority said similar coordination meetings would continue regularly as part of a wider system for monitoring performance indicators, assessing operational requirements and implementing measures to improve the efficiency of Dubai’s trade and logistics network.
The initiative forms part of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation’s efforts to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of the maritime sector and reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading global trade and logistics hub.
